Educating women on how vital a role they play in the success of their children

What Matters-Most? was created in 2009. Its founder Maritza George started the business after acknowledging the downward progression of the women and children that W.M.M. services, those traditionally labeled as "statistics".  What Matters-Most mission is to support women and their children by assisting women in becoming more self-sufficient so they will be in a better position to restore their families.  Most of the families that W.M.M. services have absent fathers thus placing the children at increased "risk" of being pulled toward the streets. Although W.M.M. has no direct control over the absence of fathers. W.M.M. strongly believes that by helping women become self-sufficient, the organization will help address some of the issues that tend to be particular to these families.
